AiBiotics (CEO Sang-Bae Ma and Sang-Hyeok Ma) announced that it has established a bridgehead for full-scale global market entry for its flagship product, the all-in-one RT-PCR product for field diagnosis, by participating in the integrated Korean pavilion at Eureka Park, CES 2024, held in Las Vegas, USA. AiBiotics’ participation in this exhibition was made possible through the CES 2024 participation support project of the Changwon Industrial Promotion Agency.

AiBiotics, selected as the first company of the Changwon Special City (Mayor Hong Nam-pyo) Venture Fund in 2020, has continued its efforts for corporate and regional development through government and local government projects such as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ TIPS and Startup Leap Package Support Project, and based on this, has developed a product that can diagnose infectious diseases and diseases in real time on site.

AiBiotics expressed its expectations, saying, “Once the all-in-one PCR product is fully launched in the market, it will not only allow us to respond more effectively to the upcoming pandemic, but it will also be of great help in diagnosing and responding to diseases such as tuberculosis and mosquito-borne diseases that are receiving the most attention from international organizations such as the UN and WHO.”

In addition, “This prototype was developed by actively reflecting the needs of the global market through participation in the ‘2023 Arab Health’ exhibition, and we were able to confirm the high interest of companies, universities, and research institutes from the US, Japan, and France who visited AiBiotics’ booth at CES 2024. In particular, we received positive responses to the unique concept that can quickly perform DNA/RNA extraction and PCR processes in a single device, and many responded that they were looking forward to the product launch,” he said.

Having confirmed the possibility of entering the global market in this way, AiBiotics plans to smoothly prepare for entering the American market, establishing a collaboration model with major international organizations, and preparing for mass production.

We are currently pursuing ISO 9001, 14001 certifications, and plan to obtain KC certification within the first half of the year, and ISO13485 and GMP in the second half. We also plan to establish a clinical plan as soon as possible, and to this end, we are currently in discussions with major organizations such as the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, and are also consistently conducting consulting necessary for clinical trials.

We also signed an MOU with M3 Global LLC, a local consulting firm specializing in business entry into the US market, to explore the possibility of entering the US market and to develop business and expand globally.

We plan to pursue ODA projects together with Gyeongsangnam-do and Changwon Special City to apply for cooperation projects with major international organizations, and to this end, we plan to actively discuss with local government officials.
