A seemingly useless fungus has a positive effect??!

A seemingly useless fungus has a positive effect??!

When I think back to my school days, there were always bullies and thugs who bullied and harassed their friends with their appearance and behavior that were almost like gangsters. It may seem like there was not a single positive function, but there is nothing in the world that does not have a positive function.
Because of that vicious bully, the bullies from other schools did not come near our school… Because of that guy, the teacher’s attention was focused, and the other kids were free…

Bacteria that were previously classified as harmful bacteria can also prevent food allergies.
Bacteria that were thought to be useless in the intestines
actually had a positive function. In an experiment conducted on mice with no microbial communities in an environment without bacteria, it was discovered that Clostridia, not Bacteroides, prevented food allergy reactions when they reached the intestines of the problematic mice. Clostridia
is also a group with many subspecies, and among them, Clostridium is included, which is a very bad guy that causes intestinal inflammation. However, mice with this bacteria do not have allergies, and mice without this bacteria do. This is a study.

Mice with adequate amounts of Clostridia have more regulatory T cells, which weaken the immune response. The logic is that secretions from these microbes block food proteins from entering the bloodstream.

I thought it was an absolutely bad fungus, but it actually has its uses. It
reminds me that balance is important in an ecosystem.

As expected, what is appropriate and proper is difficult.
