Have you ever seen someone gain weight just by drinking water?

Have you ever seen someone gain weight just by drinking water?

s there anyone who actually gains weight just by drinking water?

The decisive factor in introducing and spreading awareness of intestinal microbes to the public was the expectation that the existence of ‘fat bacteria’ could be confirmed and controlled.
And although the expectation that obesity can be solved by controlling microbes is not yet complete, various solutions are being proposed.

This fat bacteria, commonly known as Firmicutes, is not actually a single bacteria but a large classification standard. The
most common bacteria among intestinal microorganisms is a group called Bacteroidetes, and Firmicutes is the next most distributed group. These two groups account for 70-80% of the total.
Firmicutes has been confirmed to have the function of metabolizing fat, so it is falsely called fat bacteria, but in fact, it is closer to the result than the cause. It can be interpreted that the function of decomposing fat feeds on fat, and it is more reasonable to see that this bacteria increased because the host usually ate a lot of fat.
(There are still many people who mention Firmicutes when talking about fat bacteria on TV…)

The bacteria in Firmicutes include various fat-metabolizing bacteria, as well as beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus and Ficulibacterium, and at the same time, various bacteria that produce toxic substances are also included. In fact, the botulinum toxin bacteria, which are mainly used in cosmetic procedures, are included in this group, and Clostridium difficile, the most powerful enteritis-causing bacteria, is also included.
In addition, since it contains thousands of unidentified bacteria, it is very unreasonable to define the entire group as a single character and call it ‘fat bacteria’.

Is there a fat germ?
There may be a conclusion, but the contribution of those germs to becoming fat is not as big as you might think…

Have you ever seen someone gain weight by drinking only water?
If you think about the ‘Law of Conservation of Mass’, you might think that it would never happen. Can
you gain weight even if you only eat vegetables? Even elephants only eat vegetables(!)
